Discone
Defence communication depends on antennas that work every time, in any weather, without adjustment. Our ultra-wideband discone antennas are built for that: rugged, all-weather, omnidirectional and needing no field tuning. Five models cover 30 MHz to 6 GHz, so one antenna can serve a base station, a command post or a communication site.

What defence users need from an antenna
- Reliability in the field: 6.5 mm thick disc and cone elements built for rough weather
- No adjustment on site: no field tuning or setup needed
- Weather protection: the termination and feed cable are enclosed inside the mounting pipe
- Material quality: chrome-plated brass or aluminium, with an all-brass design that reduces internal intermodulation
- Fast deployment: compact design, with the cone and disc removed for shipping and mounting hardware included
- All-round coverage: omnidirectional pattern for transmit and receive

A discone covers all directions at unity gain. For directional gain toward a link partner, use a log periodic dipole antenna for defence use.
